Pro skater Tony Hawk is poised to make an even bigger claim on the US and global markets for skateboarding, snowboarding and surfing with his latest endeavors into advanced video gaming, retail, multimedia, sports events and now his very own ride at Six Flags amusement parks.
Hawk, 40, has retired from the profession but his name and the skate lifestyle brand he created clearly lives on, according to a story published Sunday, March 9, on USA Today’s Web site, which cited that Hawk ranks No. 1 in athlete name recognition among young consumers - surpassing the likes of major NBA stars Shaquille O’Neal and LeBron James.
