On Wednesday, May 7 DVS invited a small group of friends, media, and core skate shops to The Berrics for a night of skateboarding, food, and fun. The night also played host to a special premiere of the new DVS video Dudes, Dudes, Dudes.
In all there were about 150 people in attendance most of whom eagerly skated Steve Berra and Eric Koston’s newly remodeled park. “DVS gave skate shops the golden ticket to see behind the curtain of The Berrics,” says Val Surf’s Nate Kaufman. “It was a really rad night.”
Dave from Fivepoints Skateshop drove all the way down from Ventura to come skate The Berrics. “Getting a chance to talk about the Lakers with Eric Koston was awesome,” says Dave. “It was an incredible opportunity to skate a place run by pros and it was awesome to be able to hang out and watch all those guys rip it. It made one old skate dork real happy.”
“Events like this are always fun as it brings us all together and that is what skateboarding is all about, us,” says Podium Distribution VP of Marketing Tim Gavin. “Thanks to Steve and Eric for allowing us all to skate the newly built course.”
