L*SPACE Swimwear Named Winner of The Splash in Swim Contest at ASR
Over 150 brands to show spring 2011 swim lines at ASR Marketplace in San Diego this August 13th-15th
San Juan Capistrano, CA (July 27, 2010) – When the world’s hottest swim brands dive into spring 2011 orders at ASR and CLASS@ASR August 13th-15th, L*SPACE will be center stage as ASR attendees’ pick for the inaugural ASR Splash in Swim award. Between ASR and CLASS@ASR, voters had over 150 swim labels spanning high-end designer to international and surf-rooted brands to choose from.
“Swim is a growing category at ASR and CLASS@ASR,” says Andy Tompkins, VP of ASR. “This recognition allows attendees who follow the swim market to call out brands that are creating products that are appealing to consumers right now. L*SPACE is creating product and marketing strategies which are resonating in the marketplace, this is an award for those efforts from the industry.”
As part of the ASR Splash in Swim winning package, L*SPACE will receive a spotlight runway show highlighting the 2011 collection following the ‘Fashion Society’ show August 13th. The ‘Fashion Society’ show will showcase young contemporary sportswear and swim which will run twice during ASR on Friday and Saturday at 3pm in the new La Plage area. Buyers and media are encouraged to stick around after ASR’s ‘Fashion Society’ show, enjoy a glass of champagne, and check out ASR Presents ‘L*SPACE by Monica Wise 2011 Fashion Show’ at 4PM on Friday, August 13th.

The new La Plage area offers a chic meeting place for the swim community at ASR. Lush carpets, ceiling treatments and cozy lounges will mark the distinctly feminine area. La Plage’s central lounge will feature a DJ setting the mood, aromatherapy and an Addiction NV Cosmetics station. Adjacent to La Plage, will be the entrance to CLASS@ASR, which will be lined with swim brands. Together the shows will make for a completely efficient way for buyers to preview over 150 swim brands in just a few days.
